Study Mullins effect of polyurethane reinforcement with halloysite nanotube by molecular dynamics simulation

Molecular dynamics simulation was applied to study the irreversible strain through loading and unloading cyclic tests of polyurethane (PU) reinforced with halloysite nanotube (HNT). The influences stretching cycle rate, different temperatures, volume density rate hard soft domain PU were studied on permanent set. results illustrate that residual increasing when is increasing, for example, load 250% increased 55%. In contrast, fraction HNT part content lead lower strain. recovery set achievable by temperature from 1 K 200 decreased 52%. An Ogden constitutive theory pseudo-elasticity adopted simulate this composite in ABAQUS software. This model has proposed a reasonable prediction plastic deformation.
